La ceremonia estuvo llena de sorpresas, desde caramelos voladores hasta errores en la entrega de premios

El Sumario – Por fin llegó la noche más esperada del año por los cinéfilos del mundo. La ceremonia número 89 de los Óscar tuvo lugar en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles y bajo la conducción de un divertido Jimmy Kimmel —quien se lució por primera vez como animador del evento— la gala fue un cóctel de emociones y sorpresas, puesto que las nominaciones estuvieron bastante surtidas y reñidas este año.

A pesar de que La la land fue la favorita de la noche (con 14 nominaciones se llevó seis estatuillas), y que por una equivocación con los sobres (primera vez que eso ocurre en 89 años), dijeron que había ganado Mejor película, lo cierto es que el Premio de la Academia a Mejor película se lo llevó el filme Moonlight, consiguiendo así su tercer galardón de la noche.

Por otra parte, quienes se llevaron la mayor parte del protagonismo fueron Casey Affleck y Emma Stone, quienes ganaron como Mejor actor y Mejor actriz respectivamente, luego de competir con actores de la talla de Denzel Washington y Meryl Streep. ¿Será que llegó el momento de dar paso a las nuevas generaciones?

Las interpretaciones de la noche

Las presentaciones musicales estuvieron a cargo de Justin Timberlake, quien abrió el evento con su interpretación del tema Can’t Stop the Feeling, perteneciente a la banda sonora de la película Trolls. La segunda presentación correspondió a Lin-Manuel Miranda y Auli’ I Cravalho, con el tema del largometraje animado Moana, How Far I’ll Go.


Más adelante, John Legend cantó los temas City of Stars y Audition, de la banda sonora de La La Land, cinta de la que también fue productor ejecutivo. Y, finalmente, el ex The Police Sting hizo su parte interpretando impecablemente el tema The Empty Chair, que integra la banda sonora de Jim: The James Foley Story.
